Tokyo, Japan



Tokyo is the capitol of Japan and is home to approximately 13 million people. This magnificent city is hope to fantastic food, unique fashion and cool innovations. In Tokyo you will never be bored as you are surrounded by some of the best shopping, entertainment, culture and dining. Explore Tokyo thoroughly, visit all the areas, see the highly talked about attractions, shop until you drop and eat as much food as you can.



Activities

Tokyo is packed with things to see and do, from eating to sight see to even shopping and theme parks. Tokyo caters for all age groups and is family friendly. You should make the most of your time in Japan and immerse yourself if the unique culture it has to offer.

  • Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are probably the most popular tourist attractions and are a great place to take the kids!
  • Akihabara- District for electronic and otaku goods
  • Shibuya- Popular district among younger generations
  • Harajuku – center of teenage fashion and cosplay culture
  • Nakano Broadway- Shopping mall with lots of anime related stores
  • Tokyo Skytree- 634 meter tall tower with observation decks
  • Rikugien- Beautiful Japanese style landscape garden

There are also a variety of karaoke, hot springs and movie venues


Accommodation

Tokyo has accommodation to meet all kinds of budgets as well as offering both a Japanese and Western style of living. Tokyo accommodation allows you to experience how they live or allows you the comfort of western hospitality.
  • Japan is a unique country with many different places to stay! If you are here for Disneyland they do have accommodation in their venues which have a great view of the theme park. They have a variety of accommodations,
  • Japanese style lodgings for those who want to experiences something different
  • Western style lodging for those who want to come back from a long day to something more familiar
  • Low Budget such as dormitories and hostels for those who want their money to stretch a bit further
  • Unique Lodgings like love hotels, capsule hotels and temple lodging
  • For longer stays there are weekly and monthly apartments also available


Food

Japan is home to some truly fantastic food! Some of my all-time favourite dishes are:

  •           Udon - Thin Japanese noodle soup
  •           Ramen – Thin spaghetti style noodles with soup
  •           Sashimi- Thinly sliced raw seafood
  •           Korokke – Not original to Japan but is widely available, there is white cream korokke and meat potato korokke.
  •           Sushi – Generally made with rice, seaweed and a variety of fillings
  •           Curry


No doubt, Tokyo will be an experience of a life time which I would advise anyone to grab with both hands and make the most of.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur (KL) is the capitol city of Malaysia, well known for its bright night life and fantastic food. All throughout the day there will always be people out and about whether it be eating, shopping or just engaging in the vibrant day to day activates KL has to offer.

Malaysia


Activities

KL is home to some fantastic activities you should definitely check out! They have pampering spas in some hotels and parts of the Golden Triangle. They have several museums for all those who have a thirst for knowledge as well as urban sports such as golf, jogging and horse riding. The Sunway Lagoon is called Subang Jaya and is the city next to KL. The theme park is 40 minute drive from KL but is hope to rides, a huge waterpark, an extreme park for adventure junkies, and a scream park for those wanting a good scare, and a petting zoo for children. For all those shopaholics out there here is a something you can’t afford to miss. KL has a variety of shopping malls with hundreds of branded stores you might not have access to in your home country. No one remembers the nights they got lots of sleep! The night life in Kuala Lumpur is something amazing. In KL you will see friends, families, couples and just individual people walking around in the early hours of the morning laughing, eating good food and just enjoying the atmosphere. If you are planning on going to KL I would most definitely encourage you to embrace everything this country has to off, you will make great friends and great memories.


Accommodation
You are most definitely going to want to stay in KL for more than a day, so you will obviously need a place to stay! There are many places to stay and you will most definitely be able to find one that fits your budget. A hotel which is close and convenient is highly recommended, it will make travelling to you daily activities a lot easier and less stressful.

Food
You will always be surrounded by fantastic food stall and restaurants in Kuala Lumpur! I would highly, highly recommend checking out most if not ALL of the hawker stalls you come by. The foods they make are usually passed from generation to generation. If you’re looking for unique and tasty you should definitely check these stalls out and experience the talents of these people.

Malaysia foods (partly inspired from other countries) of this fantastic country that I just love, these include:
  • ·  Nasi Lemak – fragrant coconut rice with cucumbers, sambal, egg, curry (chicken, beef, vegetables etc.) and ikan bilis.
    ·    Roti Canai – bread served with curry
    ·    Asam Laksa –thick rice noodle soup with flavoured brother (tamarinds and mackerel fish) as well as flakes, mint, pineapple, lettuce and cucumber.
    ·   Rojak - A fruit or vegetable salad with dark, thick prawn paste and yau char quai,

Singapore


Singapore is an Asian island city-state well known for its fantastic food, people and bright night life. No matter what hour of the day there 
will always be something to do and somewhere to eat in the beautiful island of Singapore!


Activities
The airport will most probably be your first stop if you’re from a non-neighboring country is Singapore. The airport in itself however, is amazing! It is considered to be one of the best airports in the world with many stores, restaurants, pools and even an aquarium. You think that sounds amazing there is so much more and to think this is only a glimpse of the greatness this country has to offer you on your stay. There are massive shopping centres, with hundreds of branded stores you might not have access to in your home country so you should most definitely take advantage of that!

Performers, food, and people are what make the best memories! The night life is Singapore is something truly phenomenal. Here is Australia majority of the country is lights out by 11pm! In Singapore this is not the case, you will see friends, families, couples and just individual people walking around in the early hours of the morning laughing, eating good food and just enjoying the atmosphere. If you are planning on going to Singapore I would most definitely encourage you to embrace everything this country has to off, you will make great friends and great memories.

Accommodation


In Singapore they have a lot of high quality resorts, hotels, motels you name it! If you are planning on only staying for a little while and maybe just for the weekend I would highly recommend staying at a hotel close if not in the Airport! It is close, convenient and you are surrounded by all these fantastic facilities literally minutes away from your room (BY FOOT!)

Food

Singaporean foods (partly inspired from other countries) of this fantastic country that I just love, these include:
  • Bak kut teh – a pork rib soup with a variety of Chinese herbs and spices
  • Hainanese chicken rice – chicken flavoured rice with a steamed chicken, accompanied by ginger paste, dark soy sauce and chilli sauce. Also with cucumbers.
  • Char kway theow – Stir- fried flat white noodles with soy sauce (light and dark) with meat, vegetable.
  • Wontons – usually a meaty(pork mince and prawns) dumpling
  • Kaya toast – Coconut custard jam on toast or plain bread makes a phenomenal snack
